Live Like You Ain't Afraid to Die...Just Enjoy the Ride Sep 30, 2003
By heidi This album covers some new ground with a peppy Cajun number complete with squeezebox and French words to go with the English ones. Chris holds true to form and has some rip roaring toe tappers that are hard to sit still for. The first video from Horsepower is on his website. All Wound Up is my favorite on this album. It's hard to get out of your head. Like a book you can't put down. Songs for every age. Good clean fun. In the words of American Bandstand: Horsepower the Album has a good beat and is easy to dance to.

The Best LeDoux CD Yet Jul 28, 2003
By Westy HORSEPOWER is without a doubt the best CD Chris LeDoux has ever released. Several of the songs are poignant and introspective, others are upbeat and just plain fun. "One Less Tornado" is wonderful, "A Cowboy Was Born" is a great tribute to our Western heritage, "Buffalo Grass" had my eyes misting, and "The Ride" parallels my own life. The journey that last song evokes for myself, as a horseman, struck a chord deep in my heart. Chris has gone back to his rodeo cowboy roots, and it's about time.HORSEPOWER is a MUST for any fan of western music, and an essential addition to any Chris LeDoux fan's collection.

This may be Chris's best CD Jul 23, 2003
By Thomas Wolf I just listened to Horsepower three times straight through. The first time I wasn't too sure that I liked it. But this is by far the best CD from Chris. He is back to signing great rodeo songs!!!! He adds credibility and authenticity that really bring the songs alive. All of the songs cover different styles. This CD is a must have for any Chris LeDoux fan, rodeo fan and western music fan.
