5MEMORIES OF A TRUE OUTLAW  Jun 10, 2006 By tradess2006 "tradess2004"
Waylon and Austin, Texas, a truly super combination; it brings back so many memories of enjoying him live in concert. Hearing his strong baritone voice, one can go back in time and enjoy country music like it is supposed to be, no modern pop or whining type of sound. As an extra bonus, Jessi Colter, his wife, gives a great performance, where their personal intimacy can be felt.

Just wish Waylong was still alive!

5PURE WAYLON ***** 5 STARS *****  Mar 10, 2006 By ----Susan D. Fong
This DVD displays Waylon at his BEST. Many of his GREAT HITS are a part of this TERRIFIC performance. I was, however, disappointed at the song "You Asked Me To" being edited from this DVD. One of my FAV songs he sings on this DVD is "I May Be Used (But Baby I Ain't Used Up)". Complete with Waylons GREAT sense of humor, charm and wit, this DVD is a MUST HAVE for anyone who is a fan of Waylon's or who appreciates GREAT Country Music :) I highly recommend this DVD. RIP Waylon....you are missed.

5Waylon puts on a 5 star performance.  Apr 02, 2006 By B.J. Carroll "niner4life8"
It is 56 minutes of Waylon doing some of his greatest songs and doing some songs of other singers. What else could you want. The audio choice of DTS 5.1 makes it sound like you are siting in the very room Waylon is playing. Waylon to me is the second best country singer behind George Jones and man he sure does deliver a great performance on this DVD. His wife Jessie even makes an appearance on 2 of the songs. I recommend this DVD to any country music fan. We sure need more country music singers in this world like Mr. Jennings.

5Come see Waylon Jennings play a real country song.  Apr 24, 2006 By Casey Heilman "Texan"
This a recording of Waylon and Ralph Mooney as they entered the twilight of their careers. If you don't know who Ralph Mooney is, then listen to Waylon Live and whenever Waylon says, "Get it Moon!" you will hear one of the best steel guitar solos ever played. That's Ralph GD Mooney.
At this point in his life, Waylon had stopped doing drugs and smoking. He's got a few mannerisms that lead you to believe that might not be the case. But if you are really into Waylon you know that he had a hard time getting comfortable on stage and "working without a net". He and Mooney are as solid as can be. Time tested and dang near perfect.
The rest of the band looks like they aren't all that interested. Maybe I'm being to harsh, but they seem like they're just working any old show and can't wait to get back to having fun somewhere else. Of course, Waylon would make most artists look bad on stage. He had a charisma and personality that could fill a stadium. The performance isn't like it would have been back in '74, but it's great in it's own time and still stands up as some of the best country music ever recorded on film.

55 *****.  Mar 31, 2006 By Nawaf H. Al Taher "Saudi_Red_Neck"
OK I am very happy with the DVD.
Sound, and Video quality are Excellent.

I only wonder why is this released now????
And where the heck are we not seeing more DVDs out there for people like Waylon, Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, etc.

It is frustrating to know that these Legends have made shows for at least 25 years. And you only find less than 5 DVDs per artist, WHY???????????

Thanks,
Nawaf
